[Applicable version]

Note：

• BVM-HX3110 Ver.1.00 or later
• The software version for the monitor can be found on the Unit Status of the Status menu.
• Whe you do not use the IP interface, you do not need to download "BVM-HX3110_IP_V200.zip", "BVM-HX3110_Bootloader_for_update_error.zip", and "Note for BVM-HX3110_V2_Bootloader_update_error(EN).pdf". You do not need to update the IP interface and you keep the default setting of [IP In. Power Down] as "On".
• When the firmware version of your monitor is Ver.2.00 or later at the time of purchase, you do not need to update the IP interface.

[Preparation]

When updating Monitor body,

• You will need 1 USB memory stick for the installation.
  Specification: USB 3.0 up to 8GB, FAT32 format
  For more details, please read “Handling a USB memory stick” in the operating instructions of the BVM-HX3110.

When updating NET board,

• Prepare the following IP network connection environment.
  • IP network switch (25/1 Gbps ports)
  • SFP28 Transceiver module
  • Optical fiber cable
  • Media converter (1Gbps, SFP to RJ-45)
  • LAN cable
  • PC (for operation of Web menu, Browser is required.)
  • Recommended browser: Chrome (The latest version is required.)

Note：

• You need to update both the software and the hardware/FPGA.  You also need to update both the Bootloader and Software Package of the NET board.
  • Refer to the following information for the estimated update time for each BVM-HX3110 unit.
  • Monitor body(Software / FPGA): this update procedure takes approx. 109 minutes per unit.
  • IP interface function <NET board>, this update procedure takes approx.2 minutes for the Bootloader and approx. 6 munites for the Software Package.

[How to update]

• Please refer to "Release Notes_for_BVM-HX3110_V2_01(EN).pdf”.
• If the update of “Software Package” is executed FIRST, the update of “Bootloader” will fail displaying a file error.To fix this, download "BVM-HX3110_Bootloader_for_update_error.zip" from the Sony support site and follow "Note for BVM-HX3110_V2_Bootloader_update_error(EN).pdf".
