    Reader for MAC is an all-new application that provides an easier, friendlier, and improved experience to existing Reader Library customers, and provides all of the same functionality as Reader Library with some new features.

    • Benefits and improvements:
      • For Country/Region setting as UK, Germany and Austria, this update will replace “Reader Store” icon with “Kobo eBook Store” icon to enable direct access to Kobo eBook Store.
        For full access to the Kobo eBook Store, account registration may be required.

      • Removal of More Content pages that are no longer supported

        • The required free space depends on the total volume of content
      • Display: 24-bit (true color) or greater, 960 × 720 or higher screen resolution

    Before you update

    Important notes:

    • This application will not uninstall nor does it require the uninstallation of Reader Library, though it is recommended that the user uninstall that application
    • Upon installation and launch the User will be prompted to “migrate” their existing Reader Library contents and database into the new Reader application
    • During the installation of this file, be sure that you are logged in as the Administrator or as a user with Administrative rights
    • To ensure that no other program interferes with the installation, save all work and close all other programs
    • If a previous version of Reader for Mac has already been installed to your computer, launch Reader for Mac, connect your computer to the internet and select the Help - Check for updates menu and then update Reader for Mac to version 2.4.01.10241

    Download and install the update

    1. Close all currently running programs on your computer
    2. After reading the disclaimer, click the Download button below to download the ReaderInstaller.dmg file and save it to the desktop of your computer (recommended)
    3. When the download is complete, double click the ReaderInstaller.dmg file to start the installation
    4. Follow the instructions to complete the installation
